COME HAIL OR HIGH WATER
Or, in our case, both!
We were booked for the Dandelion Festival. That was good.
It hailed and rained so hard that as we arrived on site they were closing up the Festival. That was bad.
We were well taken care of by Shelley and all the other staff, but since a lot of acts had to be accommodated at the lone indoor venue, Paul suggested we call the Broadway. Which we did, and they were happy to offer us the chance to play indoors that afternoon.
Friends and family followed us up to the Broadway, and there were even a few afternoon customers who liked the music and stayed with us until the end of the set.
